Two Week Plan

TWO WEEK PLAN

GOAL ONE - Understanding the artistic process, documenting senior photos.

Understanding the process of taking senior photos.

The process of senior photos consists of three steps. Choosing a location is one of the most important steps, I start by reaching out to the person about location. I usually offer up where I’ve used in the past, which consists of an assortment of different fields or hills that we will go to. Getting to the field and choosing where to take the photos is an exciting part of the process. The location must compliment aspects of the photo: lighting, color, and background. We continue with taking the photos, working through multiple types of poses and staging for the picture. I usually tell the person how to pose if they don’t know. Posing can be a hard aspect of this process, sometimes when the camera is on a person it’s easy to lose comfort. The lighting is usually best in the middle of the field. After walking, through the location and stoping to take photos here and there, we begin to wrap up the pictures. Later that day, I will work on editing them. I take the camera chip out of the camera- the chip stores all of the camera's information and the photos.  The chip will connect with my computer and I can download them all to my computer's files. After downloading files, I can send the pictures to my phone as well as the "subject's" phone.

GOAL TWO - Creating a homepage on my website

I knew I was missing something after I made my first draft of my website, and came to the conclusion I needed to include a homepage in addition to my website; as well as getting feedback from my peers and advisors. The homepage was something big for me to take on, but I was excited for this new draft of the site.

I needed my homepage to be the most exciting pages of the tabs, so I compiled not only my own personal best (or favorite) pictures, but ones that are filled with color and are bright. The importance of the homepage is to draw the viewers of the website in and get them interested. I found my favorite pictures from The SACHEM Coffee House, which include live action photos of Autumn Roots

The website began coming together when the process began, I started teaching myself how to format the pages and organize photos that complimented each other based on color, background, lighting, or themes.

GOAL THREE - creating a logo

Learning how to curate a logo is another big key to the process of building up your brand. I did not know where to start when I began step three of my Two Week Plan. I looked up multiple "logo making" websites and created many different types of designs. While there were some I really loved, I would've had to pay money to use them. This made me resort to Google draw, where I used different texts and different graphics.

I hope to keep evolving and changing my logo. This is a good place to start, and I'll figure out how to incorporate this graphic with my website.
