9.1 TWO WEEK PLAN

I started my "Two Week Plan" with multiple goals in mind, but my strong ones being about learning how to view my interest in photography and film through a business perspective. Over the past two weeks I worked on creating a business for myself and the photography I have done for the past year(s). 

STEPS TOWARD COMPLETING GOALS

I started off my project by collecting the work that I wanted to use on the website pages. It was hard to pick which photos are best to showcase. Aside from choosing photos, another priority is setting a theme and making them all look professional with each other as well as alone.  I looked through multiple filters and found one that layout a black and white filter over the picture and finishes it off with a rustic looking border. 

The pictures began to look well together and this helped me choose which ones I should use for the website. 

The next step of my project was making a skeleton plan of what my website could look like. I drew out an outline of how my website could turn out, without knowing if there would be a template or a guideline to follow. I started off by sketching the first page, which I wanted to be showing my favorite pictures I've taken; and the ones that show my strengths. I knew the first page should be the portraits, not only because I like them the best, but because I have lots to choose from and that gives me the ability to show off all aspects of this type of work. The next page I wanted to be of colored pictures I've taken, aswell as putting them in double formatting. Lastly, I would make an "about me" page, type up a short description of my website and who I'm aspiring to be as a photographer. 

I did some research and used SQUARESPACE as my website maker. This site was very easy to use, and helped me create an easy to navigate website for my viewers. I used various apps to edit my photos, and I made folders of my final cuts and the ones that got edited. After collecting my website final pictures, I inserted them through the easy website inputs and made the pages I sketched out come to life.

Although I completed my website, it's still available for me to go back and edit it. I plan on improving on my photograph skillset and updating this website as much as I can. The first week of this project, I had lots of fun making the website and got it done within the first week. The past two weeks showed me my motivation towards putting together my own work, also understanding working on projects on my own towards my individual end goal.
